Hello Genesis Church Family, greeting in Jesus for Christmas 2023!
I just wanted to share some wonderful reflections from this eventful year.
In 2022, if you had said to me that Sam and I would be called by God to lead Genesis Church I would not have believed it! However, God had other plans.
I’m so thankful for his direction, his faithfulness, and his ability to equip us to do the work he calls us to do.
As I reflect on the past five months since our commissioning service, I’m amazed at the things God has already done.
We have had our first baptism service – and had the privilege of witnessing the commitment of Kayla, Jack, and Ron being baptised. Whoa!
We had our Harvest Giving Month where our church’s generosity was overwhelming.
Musicians and ministers James and Liezel Hollands felt the call of God to come and serve in Maryborough and have now moved into the church house.
We have seen new folks attend, people challenged to outlive their faith publicly, new helpers and people serving across our church. See gallery below.
It seems that every week that goes past God is blessing and encouraging us.
Sam and I want to thank you all for your personal support and encouragement. I want to thank you that each and every one of you have shown a desire to draw closer together in fellowship. To love one another, and to walk together in unity and purpose for Jesus’ kingdom’s sake.
I’m looking forward to what God will do in 2024. There seems to be so much unfolding in front of us even now – so we’ll be sharing some of those things over the coming months.
It clear to me that there is a real spirit of unity and purpose driving us forward into next year. My prayer is that we will continue to draw closer to Jesus as we move into this next season in the life of our church.
A big thank you to everyone who faithfully serves week in, week out. We have been so blessed because of you.
I pray the Lord’s blessing on you and your family over Christmas and into the New Year.
All our love,
